Born into a business family, resort and property developer Eam-On Likit-ittiruks ventured into business on her own, founding a car rental business after graduating in law from university. Recently she parleyed that successful venture into a resort on the north end of Patong, and now into a condominium development next to Jungceylon.

How did you get your start in business?

Because I grew up in a business family, I�ve wanted to be involved in business since I was studying in university. My family supported me and gave me a budget to start my first business.

Why do you decide to invest business in Phuket?

I think Phuket has a strong economy for business, and it�s suitable for investing in the hotel businesses. It also has many projects available if you�re interested in hotels and properties. Phuket is the best choice for investment, and in the future I think Phuket will only grow in the businesses of hotels and properties.

Your current position is managing director of Baramee Resortel in Patong. Can you tell a little about that business?

It�s located in good a location on Pra-Barameee Road not far from the beach. It�s decorated in a Thai modern style together with a Western style. All the guests like to stay here because we keep service in mind for all of our customers. For me, that�s the most important point of Baramee Resortel.

How is feed back from tourists about your business?

Tourists like it very much because it�s easy to go the beach. Moreover, it�s as near to everything in Patong as Junceylon is. And our service-mindedness also brings us a lot of repeat customers who come to Baramee again. Also, the style of the resort is homey, and that�s popular for Western tourists.

What�s your next project?

Right now we are constructing the Andakira Condomuniums in Patong. It�s a contemporary, modern-design condominium that fulfils a need for those in search of stylish living and urban lifestyle.

Thoughtfully designed and inspired by nature, the concept is to meld the project into the physical landscape and native flora. The name includes anda, which means �sea� and kira which means �mountain�. Therefore, Andakira Condominiums is meant to be a residence over looking the sea. The units strike a balance between an architectural statement and the natural environment. The concept is a fusion of strong aesthetic values and functionality with full attention to every detail.

What�s your vision for investment in Phuket?

Phuket is a market that has a high level of competition among luxury hotels and resorts, I believe that for 5-10 years, business in Phuket will double. That can open opportunities for marketing other hotel and property projects for other investment groups that want to invest in Phuket.
